What’s the BEST Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro?

In this review, I look at four screen protectors for the iPhone 16 Pro. The Elago, Torras, Benks and a bonus from Quad Lock. You can buy these protectors from the following links below:

TLDR: A screen protector for the iPhone 16 Pro is the number one accessory to keeping your front glass screen in pristine condition. I look at four brands of screen protectors, ranging from $11.99 up to $32.99. Some feature two protectors in the box, making it an ideal purchase if you wish to protect more than one iPhone or use the second protector across the life of the iPhone. Many adopt the use of a positioning frame for the best application and all come with accessories to clean the iPhone screen and remove dust particles ahead of the screen application. The best bang for your buck is the protector from Torras, with two screen protectors, a frame application, and semi-rounded, black bezel edges, it is worth checking out over the others in this test.

Elago Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro

Available for $11.99 direct and on Amazon

It is important to keep your screen protected from accidental scratches or faceplants onto hard floor surfaces. Even though Apple says its latest glass is as tough as nails, you only have to pair the screen with some sharp objects or a drop on a corner to know that this claim isn’t 100% accurate. A screen protector from Elago is one of the cheapest out there, and it comes with lots of value-added features. The installation frame and screen protector make for a perfect installation, and the cleaning kit makes sure the phone screen is ready for its application.

Installation was super easy, and I found all the accessories made the installation a breeze. Its edges were slightly curved, and it had a thin black surround to make it look a little more premium. For just $3 more you can get two protectors in black, which is the option I would go for to either protect a second iPhone screen or replace a worn one later in its life span.

Torras GlassGo Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro

Available for $29.99 direct and on Amazon

For its price, the GlassGo screen protector packs more features than its similarly priced competitors. It features two tempered glass protectors and cleaning kits in one single box, allowing either two protective screen applications throughout the life of your iPhone 16 Pro, or a cheaper way to protect two separate iPhones with just one purchase. The fitment is easy to apply with a bundled surrounding fame that gives a perfect dust and bubble-free installation. The sides aren’t too sharp and matched watch a Torras case will give your iPhone 16 Pro the ultimate protection from coins, keys and accidental drops on bathroom floors, concrete driveways and street pavements.

Benks GlassWarrior Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro

Available for $32.99 direct and on Amazon

Benks offer one of my favourite screen protectors of late. Their GlassWarrior from last year helped protect my iPhone 15 Pro and this year’s model also looks up to the task. Everything you need comes supplied in the box, from instructions to a foam bed to place your iPhone flat onto, a full-size dust sticker, the screen protector and alignment frame, and a pack of cleaning accessories which features a large cleaning wipe, smaller dust stickers and a large square of cleaning cloth.

Installation is very straightforward. So much so that I didn’t need to look at the instructions to know what I needed to do. One omission from the supplied accessories was a squeegee, but the tempered glass protector was installed so well, that there was only a small corner that needed air pushed out from underneath it, which was easily done with a heavy press of the supplied cloth. The end result was a perfect dust-free and bubble-free install. A lovely protector with smooth side edges and a black bezel edge around it, which frames the phone nicely, should you decide not to wrap a protective case around it.

Having tried a few screen protectors on my iPhone 16 Pro now, I found the Benks to be one of the best, although its main letdown is its price tag, which isn’t that competitive. But, hey, you get what you pay for.

Quad Lock Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro

Available for $19.99 direct and on Amazon (iP13 Pro listed)

It is important to keep your screen protected from accidental scratches or faceplants onto hard floor surfaces. Even more so with a Quad Lock case, as it has all the intentions that you’ll be exposing your $1K of technology to the outdoor elements and the many variables it offers out there. Even though Apple says its latest glass is as tough as nails, you only have to pair the screen with some sharp objects or a drop on a corner to know that this claim isn’t 100% accurate.

The Quad Lock screen protector can be picked up on its own or bundled along with a new MAG Case mentioned above. Sadly though, the price you’re paying doesn’t quite make it great value when you compare it against its competition. For $19.99, you can get much more for your money elsewhere.

The protector doesn’t come with any installation frame. It comes in a foam sleeve (like the good old days!) along with a cleaning kit consisting of a square cloth, an alcohol wipe and a thumb-sized dust sticker.

Without a frame, installation is a little more challenging, but when done right it is doable to fit without much hassle. The 9H glass protector is sized to fit within the black bezel frame, so square this up correctly and you’ll fit it well enough. I recommend installing the case first and fitting this afterwards.

When installed, the protector feels good to touch on the edges, with a slight curve to the very edge to reduce any sharpness when side-swiping. Fit a case around it and this feels even better. Full protection, ready to hit the downhills hard!
