Each year, Benks create a series of great cases for the iPhone. In 2024/25 it is time for the iPhone 16 Pro line-up of cases. Last year I discovered my favourite case, which I stuck with for the entire length of my iPhone 15 Pro. For its replacement, Benks has released a similar suite of cases with similar names for the iPhone 16 Pro, but are they improved? You will have to continue reading to find out.
Priced between $15.99 and $52.99, there are plenty of design and colour choices for the iPhone 16 series of cases from Benks this year. So if you’re after a case from your iPhone 16 Pro, then Benks is one brand worth checking out. Let’s look at each of the supplied cases they offer for the new iPhone 16 Pro.
Benks Lucent Pro Clear Case
Available for $15.99 direct or search on Amazon
One of Benks’ cheapest iPhone 16 cases is their Lucent Pro clear case. Featuring MagSafe charging and a clear transparent design, this is the case you’ll want to pick up if you wish to showcase your chosen colour of iPhone. There’s some protective cushioning around the edges and some slight branding at the top. For a clear case, this one doesn’t feel as bulky as some other clear cases out there. Its buttons are easy to touch, as they are each moulded into the same silicone material of the case. There is a noticeable lens and screen protection on the front and rear of the case, along with non-symmetrical cutouts for the speaker grills, lanyard holes, and a large cable input hole on the bottom.
MagSafe magnetic performance is a little hit-and-miss in this case. It doesn’t last a long rodeo from a dangling and tugging MagSafe charger cable, but this is a common issue I have experienced on many cases for this year’s iPhone. Its camera button feels nice and is slightly indented into the side of the case, giving it more of a natural feel than its other line-up of cases.
There are no micro-dots on the inside, which may lead to air bubbles and increased yellowing over time, but if you’re looking for a case to show off your new iPhone inside, then this case is worth checking out and doesn’t break the bank either.
Benks MagClap Mist iPhone 16 Pro Case
Available for $19.99 direct or search on Amazon
The Mist case from Benks is a decent all-round case for the iPhone 16 Pro. It features a firm silicone edge material, and separate matt metal side buttons, with the Action button featuring a red line accent that makes it stand out a little more than their other cases. At the bottom of this side is a small lanyard hole if that’s your jam, and all buttons feel good to touch and interact with. The camera button has some slight ridges to the sides to maintain a level of protection. As a result, it is a little harder to depress this button down as intuitively as I’d like, and it is this and its MagSafe performance that lets this case down a little.
Coming in a few colours, there is a lot to like about this case. It has good protection and its materials feel more than what its price tag suggests. For its price, the Benks Mist case doesn’t disappoint.
Benks Lucid Armor iPhone 16 Pro Case
Available for $15.99 direct or search on Amazon
My favourite iPhone case from 2023/24 is the Lucid Armor case from Benks. For the Titanium colourway of the iPhone Pro, this case is a perfect harmony in terms of overall style, cost and performance. In 2024/25 the Lucid Armor case for the iPhone 16 Pro hasn’t changed much to the previous year’s case, and that’s a good thing!
Slight changes can be spotted on the main case material colour, which is slightly lighter in hue. The side buttons are more matt now, and at the bottom, there are extra symmetrical hole cutouts for the speaker grills and these are accompanied by some lanyard holes on either side. The cable cutout is now rectangular and it’s also a little larger. Its new camera button cutout mirrors the Mist case in terms of length, depth and similar ridged sides, which makes using the button a little disappointing.
I found its MagSafe performance to be a little worse than last year’s case, which is a big shame. No longer does the case sit as safely on my nightstand in landscape mode as my iPhone 15 Pro Lucid Armor case. But still, at just $15.99 this is a case that you must put on your shortlist if the style appeals to you.
Benks ArmorAir 600D iPhone 16 Pro Case
Available for $39.99 direct and on Amazon
I am not a big fan of button-less cases, but picking up the ArmorAir case did impress me. It’s a very thin and very light case, and that’s all thanks to its 600D Kevlar fibre material. There’s plenty of protection here from this material, albeit without any noticeable protection on the side buttons. This case has had all of its side button areas cut out from the case, meaning you’ll have zero restrictions with any of the button presses, more so when it comes to the new camera button on the iPhone 16 Pro, which is very welcome.
The case material is a lot firmer than its silicone Mist, Lucid and similar cases. Because of this, there is a small cutout on either side at the bottom of the case to make it easier to fit your iPhone 16 Pro. It took a lot longer to fit the phone in this case, but I got there in the end. Once fitted the case feels like a hard skin exterior to your phone. There’s hardly much of a screen lip on this case, so a screen protector is highly recommended and should be partnered alone with this case.
At the bottom, there are non-symmetrical cutouts that follow the placement of each speaker grill, and its MagSafe’s performance was a little better than on the above-mentioned cases. My main concern is its exposed side buttons. Although handy, a simple drop on the sides of your phone will easily scratch or damage the buttons on the iPhone, and for a case that’s aimed to be super tough, with its Kevlar material, it feels a little counterproductive.
Benks ArmorPro iPhone 16 Pro Case
Available for $42.99 direct and on Amazon
If you like the ArmorAir case but with full all-over protection, then the ArmorPro may be the case for you. Featuring a mix of 600D and 1500D fibre material, this case has your iPhone totally protected, however, at a hefty price tag.
There are a few colourways on offer for this case, and its prices vary on the design you choose. The Montage was sent to me for review, and I didn’t like its style. The mix of carbon fibre pattern directions didn’t look as premium as the price suggests, and flipping the case over to view its sides, I noticed each button had been cut out of the case material instead of using separate solid metal buttons. This made this case much less pro for me and cheapened the overall feel and look of the case. Its camera button was also a little softer to press with less ridge to its sides than Benks’ other case line-up.
The feel of this case was very nice, but for its price, unless you really needed the Kevlar material framework in this case, I would personally look elsewhere. With that said, this case had the better MagSafe performance across all six cases.
Benks Perspective Dynamic Series iPhone 16 Pro Case
Available for $19.99 direct or search on Amazon
The Dynamic series of cases from Benks takes elements from its Mist and Lucid Armor cases and applies a unique design artwork to the rear and edges. The result is a nice combo of functionality and design flare for your iPhone 16 Pro.
I was supplied the Perspective style case from their Dynamic series for review. Its design offers a sci-fi, almost cyberpunk, layered style of artwork that has a level of depth effect on the rear design of the case. Slight elements of the MagSafe ring (in artwork form) show through these layers and it’s a rather cool-looking design overall. Other designs include a few City locations with highlighted routes on the city’s map. If you’re from these Cities then I can see the appeal of owning one of these cases. For budding adventurers, the Summit-Mt. Blanc case was a nice-looking case too.
Function-wise, this case matches the same materials and functionality as the Mist and Lucid Armor cases, with the same level of MagSafe performance and the same camera button interaction quirks. If you’re looking for a little unique design flare added to your case, this may be a case for you.
Benks GlassWarrior Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro
Available for $32.99 direct and on Amazon
Benks offer one of my favourite screen protectors of late. Their GlassWarrior from last year helped protect my iPhone 15 Pro and this year’s model also looks up to the task. Everything you need comes supplied in the box, from instructions to a foam bed to place your iPhone flat onto, a full-size dust sticker, the screen protector and alignment frame, and a pack of cleaning accessories which features a large cleaning wipe, smaller dust stickers and a large square of cleaning cloth.
Installation is very straightforward. So much so that I didn’t need to look at the instructions to know what I needed to do. One omission from the supplied accessories was a squeegee, but the tempered glass protector was installed so well, that there was only a small corner that needed air pushed out from underneath it, which was easily done with a heavy press of the supplied cloth. The end result was a perfect dust-free and bubble-free install. A lovely protector with smooth side edges and a black bezel edge around it, which frames the phone nicely, should you decide not to wrap a protective case around it.
Having tried a few screen protectors on my iPhone 16 Pro now, I found the Benks to be one of the best, although its main letdown is its price tag, which isn’t that competitive. But, hey, you get what you pay for.
