Quad Lock iPhone 17 Pro Mag Case
For iPhone 17 Pro users searching for a durable, MagSafe-compatible case that integrates seamlessly with their lifestyle, Quad Lock has returned with its latest Mag Case and a fresh line of accessories. Having used Quad Lock products for years on bikes, cars, and daily devices, I was eager to see what’s improved this year — and whether it’s still the go-to mounting solution for iPhone owners within its mounting ecosystem.
Design and Build
At first glance, the iPhone 17 Pro Mag Case from Quad Lock looks familiar. The overall construction remains as robust and minimalist as before, featuring Quad Lock’s signature locking system on the back and the same glossy black buttons and branding. Inside, there’s a soft inner lining that cushions the phone, and the low-profile camera bump design keeps things looking neat and, almost, flush.

Compared to last year’s 16 Pro version, the fit and finish are nearly identical. However, the camera button is now capacitive, and the updated MagSafe magnets are considerably stronger — an improvement you’ll immediately notice when using magnetic mounts or accessories.
Fit and Installation
Installing the case on the iPhone 17 Pro is effortless, snapping into place with a snug, secure fit. Once fitted, it adds a reassuring amount of grip and protection without being overly bulky. Quad Lock cases have always been slightly thicker due to their recessed locking mount system, but that’s the trade-off for having one of the most secure phone mounts available.

One of the biggest improvements this year is magnet strength. Previous Quad Lock Mag Cases had weaker magnets that sometimes struggled to stay connected on car mounts. That issue is now resolved. The iPhone 17 Pro Mag Case grips firmly onto any MagSafe mount — strong enough to require real effort to detach.
Quad Lock Screen Protector
Quad Lock also provides an optional tempered glass screen protector. It’s simple to install, though it doesn’t offer full edge-to-edge coverage. It’s a basic design without a black bezel frame or any guide tray to make it fit perfectly onto your iPhone, but once fitted inside the case, it offers decent scratch resistance.

After application, I noticed some air bubbles, but these tend to dry out after a few days of use. The screen itself can be tricky to install square on perfectly. So I recommend you mount the case first, keep the phone screen on, so you can align the slightly smaller protector more perfectly and get a cleaner result overall.
The edges of the protector are more square than some bevelled edges found on more premium protectors for the iPhone 17 Pro. The result means you can easily catch the edges and lift up the protector over time, resulting in the likelihood of replacing the entire protector after a few areas have seen air and lost their adhesive attachment.
Quad Lock Accessories
Quad Lock Mag Phone Ring/Stand & Bottle Opener

Quad Lock’s new Mag accessories add more versatility than ever. The Quad Lock Mag Ring accessory acts as a magnetic phone grip, stand, and even a bottle opener — making it a handy all-in-one tool for everyday carry. Unlike the later-mentioned Ring/Stand, this one protrudes out of the back of the case a fair bit, requiring a magnetic mounting surface, whilst also having a external inner part that will only work with Quad Lock cases, and also helps reduce the Ring from slipping out of alignment. If you’re after just the ring function, I find the next accessory a little better value, whilst also being more practical.
Quad Lock Phone Ring/Stand

The Quad Lock Phone Ring & Stand is similar to the Mag Ring in terms of its purpose, but its execution is totally different. The minimalistic, low profile metal ring integrates directly with the Quad Lock inner mounting system, which offers a more solid connection and because of this it can fold flat when not in use and be tucked away within the indented mounting system. It’s clever and works really well. If you wish to remove it for mounting your phone, you can keep it with you by attaching it to the supplied micro keychain carabiner.
Quad Lock Mag Wallet

Finally, we have the Quad Lock MagSafe Wallet, which is another standout addition to their lineup. It attaches magnetically to their Mag case, but thanks to its external Quad Lock system, it stays put inside the Quad Lock grooves, preventing unwanted rotation — a common issue with Apple’s own MagSafe wallet. It can hold up to three thin cards securely and has a premium leather-style finish that mirrors its rather premium price tag.
Pricing and Verdict

The Mag Case retails for $44.99, while the Mag Ring and Ring/stand cost $24.99 and $14.99, respectively. The MagSafe Wallet comes in at $49.99 (also on Amazon), which is surprisingly more than the case itself. While the prices are on the premium side, the overall build quality and system compatibility justify the cost for those already invested in the Quad Lock ecosystem.
If you’re new to Quad Lock or upgrading from an older model, the improvements in magnetism, accessory compatibility, and design refinements make the iPhone 17 Pro Mag Case a solid choice. It remains one of the most reliable and feature-rich mounting solutions for iPhone owners who value protection, modularity, and performance.
Is It Worth Buying?
If you’re already a Quad Lock user, this case upgrade is well worth it for the improved magnet strength alone. The new accessories also add flexibility for both everyday and on-the-go use. For newcomers, this is the ideal entry point into the Quad Lock ecosystem — just be prepared to pay a little more for the complete setup.
