To say it was a joy when Waze released its Apple CarPlay update would be an understatement, but it wasn’t long until an all important (and drastically overlooked whilst in beta testing) bug showed its head.
If your headunit display is set to Right Hand Drive, which is most likely anyone in the UK and Australia – you would have noticed that speed limit indicator was hidden behind the top right Apple CarPlay UI.
Notice the Speed Limit indicator behind the turn-by-turn directions.
Waze has not issued an update since its Apple CarPlay update to fix this bug, so right-hand drivers have been without the speed limit indication during navigation for some time – until now.
The Waze update v4.44 that released 30th October 2018, has now fixed this issue. See below updated screenshot with the speed limit indicator now floating on the left side of the display.
