Since their announcement at the beginning of the month, the Sygic team has been hard at work on the app’s development for its upcoming CarPlay compatible update, which is scheduled for release after the final release of iOS 12.

Below is a demo of a new early version of Sygic offline navigation app, running on Apple CarPlay, whilst on the streets of Bratislava, Slovakia – where the team is located.

You’ll notice the persistent Apple CarPlay navigation UI at the top of the display at the beginning of the video, whilst the Sygic map tiles, route and lane guidance UI displays underneath. Later in the video you can see that Apple’s navigation UI can be hidden, allowing the third-party UI to shine in full screen.

We hope to trial the application ourselves prior to the app’s release, some time after Apple launches its final release of iOS 12, which is likely to be around September to October.

[Thanks: Sygic]
