Pioneer USA Inc. has released firmware updates for its AppRadio 4 (SPH-DA120) and NEX head units. These updates can be downloaded from the Pioneer support pages online. No news yet on Europe getting these updates, I’ve reached out and there is no news yet, plus I was told it isn’t recommended to update your European receiver with this US/Canadian firmware update, as it could cause ‘irreversible damage.’
AppRadio 4 (SPH-DA120) firmware 1.11 contains:
- Stability improvements for Bluetooth
- Minor bug fixes
AVH-4000NEX firmware 1.05 contains:
- Improvement of voice guidance for Android Auto
- Minor bug fixes
AVIC-5100NEX, AVIC-6100NEX, AVIC-7100NEX, and AVIC- 8100NEX 1.05 contains:
- Support for AVICSYNC
- Improvement of voice guidance for Android Auto
- Minor bug fixes
