Rounding up the slew of CarPlay enabled receivers from CES 2017, Pioneer have announced a bundle of new NEX aftermarket receivers for 2017. Model numbers and prices of the CarPlay enabled units are listed below:
- AVIC-8201NEX – $1,300
- AVIC-7201NEX – $1,100
- AVIC-6201NEX – $900
- AVH-4201NEX – $700
These NEX receivers will be sold together with a new ND-BC8 universal fit rearview camera and will be available most likely in Q1 2017.
No news on an update or replacement to their budget SPH-DA120 receiver, which I would have expected from Pioneer this year. With Alpine releasing the first CarPlay enabled receiver to feature Wireless CarPlay mode, I am sure this isn’t the last we will hear from Pioneer this year.
