New CarPlay Vehicles Set to Debut At Upcoming LA Auto Show

Apple’s CarPlay platform is set to be revealed in a number of new and upcoming vehicles at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

A few manufacturers have already revealed their 2018/19 line-up of CarPlay compatible vehicles. Some of the confirmed vehicles include:

  • 2019 Audi A8
  • 2018 BMW i3
  • 2018 BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo
  • 2019 Genesis G70
  • 2018 Hyundai Kona
  • 2018 Jeep Wrangler
  • 2019 Lincoln MKC
  • 2019 Lincoln Nautilus
  • 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS
  • 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
  • 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo
  • 2019 Porsche Cayenne
  • 2019 Subaru Accent
  • 2019 Volvo XC40

Further models that are rumoured to be “CarPlay Ready” are:

  • 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line
  • 2019 Kia Sorento
  • 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
  • 2018 Mazda6 (not at launch)

Customers looking out for new vehicles count Apple’s CarPlay platform as a key must-have feature to have in their next vehicle, so there is still hope that manufacturers who are still holding out will soon buckle and finally consider installing Apple CarPlay in their upcoming models.
