The DDX6902S and DDX6702S are the two new models, both featuring a smaller 6.2″ display, HD radio, CD/DVD, reverse cam mode and is also SiriusXM ready.
With their smaller screen size, each stereo features a physical dial on the left side along with buttons for AV, a dedicated telephone button, Menu and eject buttons.
If you’re hoping these two stereos will come with Apple’s Wireless CarPlay mode, you’ll be disappointed. Kenwood has said via their Facebook page that neither will have this functionality.
As a cheaper priced headunit, both units will only support CarPlay and will not work with Android Auto. Prices are set to be $850 for the DDX 6202S and $800 for the DDX 6702S, but expect retailers to lower this bar to match Pioneer’s DA120 and Alpine’s iLX-007/700 stereo – both feature CarPlay only.
Full features and availablity of both stereo systems should be with us very soon.
