CES 2020 has whizzed on by for this year and as we dust off the deluge of new product announcements and crazy lifestyle devices, we uncover the CarPlay announcements that were revealed at the show.
The first is from Alpine, who announced their rather huge 11-inch capacitive touch screen to partner its previous 9-inch models – iLX-F309 and the iLX-F259. The new HALO iLX-F411 brags a 49% increase in screen size and features the same Single-DIN mounting solution where the display hovers over the installed vehicle’s dashboard.
Small improvements have been made over the HALO 9 and the user interface outside of CarPlay experience can be customised. The biggest disappointment is Alpine’s decision to use a WVGA 800×480 resolution for its 11-inch screen.
The HALO iLX-F411 will release in the US in June 2020 at a suggested retail price of $1,200.
