Apple’s CarPlay will be picking up momentum towards the end of the year if a recent announcement from Tim Cook is anything to go by. “Every major automaker is now committed to delivering vehicles featuring CarPlay in future vehicles”, announces Apple’s Tim Cook at its Spring Forward event in San Francisco.
According to Apple’s count, this announcement means that “more than 40 new models” of vehicles will be shipping with CarPlay-enabled dashboards by the end of 2015. This is on top of all the aftermarket units from Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood and more that will be releasing before the year is out.
