It has been announced at this year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit that there will be three new vehicles with Apple CarPlay coming this year from manufacturers Kia, Honda and Lincoln.

Kia will be putting CarPlay in its 2017 Forte5 hatchback with a 7-inch touchscreen display, pictured above.

Honda will be adding to its small fleet of CarPlay models with the 2017 Ridgeline, Honda’s first pickup in years, with a 8-inch optional touchscreen display.

And finally, Lincoln will be adding Apple CarPlay to its luxury sedan, the 2017 Continental.

2016 has already kicked off very well with the adoption of Apple CarPlay in vehicles, with just a mere handful of remaining CarPlay enabled car manufactures still yet to show their CarPlay solutions, BMW for example.

With a whole host of new aftermarket CarPlay headhunts announced at this year’s CES 2016, and wireless CarPlay just around the corner (likely in June),  this will be CarPlay’s biggest year yet!
