Ford Rolls Out SYNC 3 Apple CarPlay Update for 2016 Models

Published On May 20, 2017 | News

Ford has announced the release of their SYNC 3 software update that will add Apple CarPlay support in its 2016 models.

Owners with Wi-Fi- enabled vehicles can receive the update automatically over the air, whilst version 2.2 owners can download the update from the Ford Owner website and install the update via a USB drive. For those that are less technical, you can also visit a local Ford dealer to have the update applied, for free.

This update brings 2016 Fords up to date with 2017 models who have been enjoying the SYNC 3 update last summer.

If you have a 2016 Ford and you want to get Apple CarPlay in your vehicle, you best get updating!
