CarPlay Support Rolling Out in Ford Vehicles Equipped With SYNC 3

Ford announced in July that its SYNC 3 infotainment system, which includes CarPlay and Android Auto, is now available across its 2017 line-up of vehicles in the United States.
Ford’s new software update brings CarPlay to already-released 2017 models, including the Fusion, Mustang and Explorer, whilst other models such as the 2017 F-150, Focus, Edge, and Super Duty will arrive in US dealerships later this year.

Ford is also adding CarPlay and Android Auto to its 2016 vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 this year with the rollout appearing in the following dates and vehicles:

August

  • Focus
  • Mondeo

September

  • Mustang
  • Ranger
  • Everest

November

  • Focus ST
  • Focus RS
